Dobbelt work-sharing med Escarleth Romo Pozo og Henriette Aarup

* English belowKom forbi UP til en inspirerende eftermiddag, hvor kunstnerne bag værkerne LA MALA og VILKÅR (arbejdstitel) inviterer os til et indblik i deres arbejde, som afslutning på en uges residency i regi af UPs Tid i Rum. Efter de to work-sharings serveres der kaffe og te i foyeren på UP. Program:13.00-13:45: Worksharing i The Pit med Henriette Aarup og projektet VILKÅR13:45-14.30: Worksharing i White Lab med Escarleth Romo Pozo / Shattered Pieces og projektet LA MALA14.30-15.00: Kaffe og the i foyeren Om VILKÅR af Henriette Aarup VILKÅR (arbejdstitel) er et soloprojekt; en performance lecture af cirkusartist og scenekunstner Henriette Aarup. I i to spor fortælles der om kunstnerens opvækst i en dysfunktionel familie, om hendes snoede og tilfældige vej ind i scenekunsten og om prekariatet; om at føle tryghed i det utrygge, om ikke at passe rigtig ind, om at turde gå efter en drøm men blive ramt af den fortid der skaber nutiden. Om de vilkår, der former os som menneske og om, hvorfor det hele hænger sammen og det private er politisk.  Under Tid i Rum påbegyndes den visuelle research til forestillingen, bl.a med projektioner, lys og scenografi. I den proces involveres andre kunstneriske kræfter som Anika Barkan og Signe Løve Anderskov. Om LA MALA af Escarleth Romo Pozo / Shattered Pieces LA MALA er en koreografisk kollage - et præcolumbiansk og postkolonialt eventyr om to kvinder; en moders historie, der folder sig ud gennem datterens krop. La Mala er en hyldest til alle de mødre, som har forladt deres hjemland for deres barn og for en mere sikker fremtid, der endnu ikke findes. Værket er forankret i et univers af in-betweenness og beskæftiger sig med emner som kultursammenstød,eksotisme, racisme og socioøkonomisk sårbarhed.  Forestillingen udfoldes gennemikke-lineære fortællinger, der sammenfletter erindring og mytologi, intimitet og fantasi, fiktionog dokumentation — og bruger performerens krop som et rum for transformation ved at genkalde tabte minder. Til Tid I Rum vil Escarleth Pozo arbejde sammen med danser, koreograf, performancekunstner og danseforsker Phyllis Akinyi, der bliver et 'tredje øje' i ugens kunstneriske udviklingsarbejde. ** Come by UP for an inspiring afternoon, where the artists behind the works LA MALA and VILKÅR (working title) invite us to an insight into their work, at the end of a week-long Tid i Rum (Time in space) residency. La Mala is an homage to all the mothers who have left their soil for their child, for a safer future that is yet not here. The work is rooted in the world of in-betweenness and delves into issues such as culture clashes,exoticism, racism, and socioeconomic vulnerability. The performance is unfolded through nonlinear narratives that intertwine memory and mythology, intimacy and imagination, fiction and documentation — using the performing body as a site of transformation by recollecting lost memories. For Tid I Rum Escarleth Pozo will work with the dancer, choreographer, performance artist, and dance researcher Phyllis Akinyi, who will join her as a ‘third eye’. About VILKÅR by Henriette Aarup VILKÅR (working title) is a solo project; a performance lecture by circus- and stage artist Henriette Aarup. In two paths, the story is told about the artist's upbringing in a dysfunctional family, about her winding and random path into the performing arts and about the precariat; about feeling safe in the insecure, about not really fitting in, about daring to follow a dream but being hit by the past that creates the present. About the conditions that shape us as humans and about why it's all connected and the private is political. During Tid i Rum, the visual research for the performance begins, including projections, lighting design and scenography. Other artistic forces such as Anika Barkan and Signe Løve Anderskov are involved in this process.
