Special Charity Screening of Anton Ptushkin’s Travel Documentary, Antarctica
Anton Ptushkin’s travel documentary Antarctica tells the story of Ukrainian polar scientists working at the remote Vernadsky Research Base.
This cinematic journey invites you to board the Noosfera icebreaker with Anton, cross the infamous Drake Passage, and experience the majesty of glaciers and the charm of penguins on the big screen. You’ll discover why researchers spend an entire year in isolation, what scientific missions they undertake — and why they need a crossbow to do it.
The screenings will take place at Filmhuset (Film House), Borgvägen 1, Stockholm on 23 April 2026 at 18:00.
Anton Ptushkin himself will host the event, including a Q&A session followed by an auction of incredible items — from an Antarctic postcard with official station stamps to... well, you’ll have to come and see for yourself.
Profits from this tour will be donated to charitable fundraising for Ukraine.

Ця кінематографічна подорож запрошує вас разом з Антоном піднятися на борт криголама «Ноосфера», перетнути сумнозвісну протоку Дрейка та відчути велич льодовиків і чарівність пінгвінів на великому екрані. Ви дізнаєтеся, чому дослідники проводять цілий рік в ізоляції, які наукові місії вони виконують — і навіщо їм для цього арбалет.
