We're kicking off our third year at Jazz@Park Lane with... well in short, swing and joy of playing in its most original form! Count Basie is probably a source of inspiration for most people in jazz and really needs no explanation. His "Orchestra" is the model for almost all big bands today and the repertoire is timeless! The band featured musicians who helped shape the sound such as Lester Young, Clark Terry, Thad Jones, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Freddie Green and many more.
