Fantastic Andersen foredrag French Connection Academy inviterer til det inspirerende foredrag Fantastic Andersen. Træd ind i en aften med kulturel elegance i Odense Rådhus’ Festsal med FCA’s Honorary Board medlem Catherine Lefebvre, anerkendt kulturattaché ved Danmarks ambassade i Paris og direktør for La Fondation Danoise siden 2023 – roller hun varetager efter sin mangeårige ledelse af det ikoniske Karen Blixen Museum i Rungstedlund. Foredraget omhandler H.C. Andersen og hans internationale væsen, hans rejser til Frankrig og hans kontakt med musikere og komponister - i anledning af FCA’s 2026 tema Fantastic Andersen. Det er mere end et foredrag – det er en intim dialog med en af Danmarks mest fængende kulturambassadører. Som en bro mellem dansk og fransk kultur medbringer Lefebvre årtiers erfaring i at kuratere udstillinger, arbejde med kulturdiplomati og stå i spidsen for store statslige begivenheder – blandt andet under det nylige danske statsbesøg og fejringen af Cité Universitaires (universitetsbyen med La fondation Danoise) 100‑års jubilæum. Om Catherine Lefebvre Catherine Lefebvre er presse- og kulturråd ved Den Kongelige Danske Ambassade i Paris og direktør for det Danske Studenterhus i Cité Internationale Universitaire i Paris. Med en master i filosofi fra Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne og en ph.d. i idéhistorie fra Aarhus Universitet, har hun modtaget scholarships fra New York University. Catherine har arbejdet som kunstkurator ved Danish Contemporary Art Foundation og Danish Arts Foundation, hvor hun bidrog til store udstillinger som Venedig Biennalen og Documenta. Som tidligere direktør for Karen Blixen Museet (2009-2019) i Danmark, initierede hun internationale samarbejder og udforskede Blixens værker gennem identitet, sprog og bæredygtighed. Step into an evening of cultural elegance in the Festsalen at Odense City Hall with member of FCA’s Honorary Board Catherine Lefebvre, esteemed Cultural Attaché at the Danish Embassy in Paris and Director of La Fondation Danoise since 2023 - roles she holds since she managed the iconic Karen Blixen Museum in Rungstedlund. The lecture explores H.C. Andersen and his international spirit, his travels to France, and his connections with musicians and composers – in celebration of FCA’s 2026 theme, Fantastic Andersen. It is more than just a lecture; it is an intimate dialogue with one of Denmark’s most captivating cultural ambassadors. A bridge between Danish and French culture, Lefebvre brings decades of experience in curating exhibitions, guiding cultural diplomacy, and leading major state events - including part of the recent Danish royal state visit and the centennial of the Cité Universitaire (the location of La Fondation Danoise). About Catherine Lefebvre Catherine Lefebvre is the Press and Cultural Counselor at the Royal Danish Embassy in Paris and the Director of the Danish Student House at Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris. She holds a master's degree in philosophy from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a PhD in the history of ideas from Aarhus University, and has received scholarships from New York University. Catherine has worked as a contemporary art curator with the Danish Contemporary Art Foundation and the Danish Arts Foundation, contributing to major exhibitions like the Venice Biennale and Documenta. As the former director of the Karen Blixen Museum (2009-2019) in Denmark, she initiated international collaborations and explored Blixen’s work through the lenses of identity, language, and sustainability.
