Children of Fish (PL/NO/PL) plays Jazz at X

Children of Fish er en international polsk-norsk-lettisk trio med base i København, hvor de også fandt sammen musikalsk. Deres musik er inspireret af jazz, folk og improviseret musik, og de formidler en barnlig frihed, glæde og enkelhed i deres legesyge udtryk. Den 25. oktober 2024 debuterede bandet med albummet Sunrise Paper Punk på Østersperle Plader. Albummet er en invitation til en rejse gennem de uendelige oceaners dyb, båret af bølger af improviseret, jazzet og elektronisk musik med både akustiske instrumenter og elektronik. Deres musik bliver beskrevet som nordisk jazz eller “baltisk jazz”, med rødder i traditioner fra både Baltikum og Skandinavien. Indtil nu har bandet spillet koncerter i fem lande, herunder Jazzfestivalen i København 2024, INTL Jazz Platform 2025 i Łódź, Vinterjazz i København 2024, Punctum i Prag (CZ), M/Darbnīca i Riga (LV), SPATiF i Warszawa (PL) og Kruttverket i Oslo (NO). On 25 October 2024, the band debuted the album Sunrise Paper Punk under Østersperle Plader. The album is an invitation to a journey through the depths of infinite oceans, on a wave of improvised, jazz and electronic music using acoustic instruments and electronics. Their music is described as Nordic jazz or “Baltic jazz”, which reflects traditions from the Baltic and Scandinavian countries. Until now, the band has played concerts in five countries, including the Jazz Festival in Copenhagen 2024, INTL Jazz Platform 2025 in Łódź, Vinterjazz Festival in Copenhagen 2024, Punctum in Prague (CZ), M/Darbnīca in Riga (LV), SPATiF in Warsaw (PL), and Kruttverket in Oslo (NO).
