Philip Akrofi er en århusiansk bassist med en markant og nysgerrig tilgang til sit instrument der på samme tid tilføjer nye toner og hylder traditionerne.Med en varm tone og stærk rytmisk forankring skaber han et solidt fundament for de projekter, han indgår i, og er kendt for sin evne til både at understøtte og udfordre sine medmusikere.Han er en aktiv del af det aarhusianske musikmiljø, hvor han bidrager til en ny generation af lyd og samarbejde. Pt. studerer han på Konservatoriet i Amsterdam, og denne koncert er Philip Akrofis debut koncert i eget navn.
