Description
Oplev den færøske komiker David Valley med sit succesfulde, engelsksprogede standup-show "History of the Faroe Islands (Please Don't Laugh)" på Århus Comedy Club søndag den 1. februar 2026 kl. 21–22.
HISTORY OF THE FAROE ISLANDS (PLEASE DON'T LAUGH)Have you ever wondered about the history of the Faroe Islands? No? Well, that's a shame. You're going to hear about it anyway.
Faroese comedian David Valley presents a deeply serious journey through the history, culture, and personal stories of one of the smallest and most overlooked nations in the world. This is not comedy. This is a 100% academic exploration of the Faroese past, featuring no jokes whatsoever. Only important facts you never asked for and will almost certainly forget immediately after the show.
After selling out twice at the 2025 Reykjavík Fringe Festival and performing across Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Estonia, the show now arrives in Århus. It is a bold move for a nation whose entire population could comfortably fit inside this room. The show received a positive review at the Tallinn Fringe Festival:https://sourcreamanddill.ee/co...
Expect a detailed and thoroughly researched presentation covering everything from Viking history to modern Faroese identity, delivered with the straight-faced sincerity of a man who just wants his country to be taken seriously for once.
Don't worry, it's more boring than it sounds.
So sit back, relax, and prepare to learn everything about almost nothing. It is history. It is culture. It is one man's determined attempt to explain the Faroe Islands to you. Please, whatever you do, don't laugh.
Doors open at 20:00 and close at 20:50.The entrance is located on the side of the building facing Dokk1. Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
Tickets cost DKK 225 in advance and DKK 275 at the door.
