Sealsafari in English

Seal safari is one of the great experiences on Fanø. Experience the seals in their natural surroundings. It is a real family experience and we do a lot to give both children and adults a few exciting hours. We stop several times along the way and talk about the seals and the fantastic natural area in which we are located. At low tide we can walk the approximately 1.3 km from Sønderho Strand to the large sandbank called Galgerev. The water has receded and we walk on the seabed. Here lies one of the largest seal populations in the Wadden Sea and enjoys life. In the warm periods, the trip can be completed barefoot, but in spring and autumn it is a good idea to wear rubber boots. From Club Fanø's shop in Rindby Strand (Kirkevejen 37) we rent rubber boots for only 30,- kr. Remember that the temperature drops and it typically gets windier the further out we go. Most of the time we walk on hard sandy ground, so it is possible to take a stroller, a pushchair or similar for small children who cannot walk all the way. It is also allowed to have a dog on a leash. During the period from March to June and again from September to October this tour is guided in 3 languages, Danish, German and English. In July and August we have a separate Danish/English tour.
