Description

Join Agnès Brosset for a hands-on introduction to growing and using medicinal herbs at home in connection with Materia medica – the museum’s new exhibition based on a historic collection of medicinal plants.  During this workshop, we explore three classic medicinal herbs: chamomile, peppermint, and lemon balm. Together, we will sow and plant these herbs into pots for you to take home, helping you begin your own small medicinal herb garden. During the workshop, we discuss how to grow, harvest, dry, and prepare these plants successfully, with a focus on practical cultivation and everyday herbal use. We also explore their traditional uses and the ways these herbs continue to be appreciated today. Agnès Brosset is a plant ecologist, a herb grower and a herbalist with a deep passion for plants and nature. She holds a PhD in chemical ecology and has extensive experience working with plants.
