Brazilian Afro Jazz Music with Baião de Duas

Aninha Paschoal (vocals and percussion) and Kadija Teles (piano and backing vocals) are two Brazilian musicians living in Spain, where they met and discovered their shared passion for the rhythms of their homeland. From this encounter, the idea emerged to explore the percussiveness and rhythmic richness of Brazilian music classics through a fresh and interpretative approach, with spontaneous and creative arrangements, inspired by the essence of Brazilian jazz.The songs are adapted and arranged by the duo themselves, whose goal is to imprint their authentic musical identity and promote Brazilian music through a new interpretative lens. The result is a show that invites the audience on a true journey through Brazil, exploring genres such as baião, samba, bossa nova, samba-canção, among others.In August 2024, the duo performed at the “Tensamba” Festival in Lanzarote, Canary Islands, receiving great acclaim from the local audience. In March of this year, they released their first original song, “Só não diga não,” featuring accordionist Carol Benigno and guitarist Jurandir Dã Silva.
