Toil is the weather of the body.It gathers in the spine,settles in the breath,drives the weary forward.In OCTOBER, toil is the engine hands in the dirt,bones against the world,a man wrestling fateand the weight of a borrowed corpse.Toil reveals what’s leftwhen survival is all that’s humanly possible.
