Polish Donuts Day

Would you like to try the Polish donuts, pączki? 🍩 In the Christian world, the carnival season includes many celebrations just before Lent, the 40-day fast in preparation for Easter. For example, the Danish celebrate Fastelavn.  The Polish celebrate Tłusty czwartek (Fat Thursday) 🥳, when they get together with friends, prepare a big batch of donuts, and eat them all!  Culture Meets invite you to join us, prepare, and eat some sweet pączki, while learning more about Polish traditions and culture 🌍📚. 🗓 Join us on March 11 at 5PM in the Multirum in the Studenterhus! 🎉 ✅ Attendance is free, but spots are limited, so make sure to sign up and show up :) Schedule: ⏰ 17:00 - 17:15 Arrival  👩‍🍳 17:15 - 18:00 Preparing the donuts 🎭 18:00 - 18:30 Getting to know Polish traditions and culture 🇵🇱 🍯 18:30 - 19:15 Filling and decorating the prepared pączki 😋 19:15 - 19:30 Devouring delicious donuts  🧹 19:30 - 20:00 Cleaning up and saying goodbye Please bring some reusable tupperware, in case we have leftover pączki that you could take home with you!
