MAYHEMIC – BIO Mayhemic is a Blackened Thrash Metal band from Santiago, Chile, formed in 2018 after several failed attempts by Noctumbra to form the project by Noctumbra and Doom, with the addition of Demian and Parabellum. In 2018, Mayhemic recorded their debut demo "No-Life", which was released by a couple of Santiago labels on CD-R and Tape, being well received by the local scene. This led the band to a series of live performances within the Chilean underground. With the release of the EP "Mortuary Feast of Skeletons" (2019) and then the single "The Last Judgement / Volcanic Blast" (2020), the band consolidated itself in its scene, being able to perform in several cities in Chile. In turn, both releases were distributed by labels outside of South America such as Headsplit Records (USA), Awakening Records (China) and Hell Productions (Thailand). With the 2020 single, Noctumbra and Doom took over the band's vocals. In 2022, Mayhemic joined Sepulchral Voice Records to work on the band's first studio album and a compilation of their previous material. Although the band's regular progress was halted by restrictions associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2024, with the addition of Magelis and Leviathan, they finally released their album "Toba," enjoying a very positive reception and reviews worldwide. Along with this, they embarked on a promotional tour of Bolivia, as well as a series of shows, including an opening act for Marduk and Krisiun, and other concerts alongside prominent bands from the national scene. Founded in 2012 by Chilean-born multi-instrumentalist El Invunche, the project debuted with a self-titled demo in 2014: raw, Spanish-sung black metal/punk influenced by Neu! and Ildjarn. The 2018 debut full-length II (released on cassette by The Tide of the End and reissued one year later on vinyl by Babylon Doom Cult) marked an evolution in sound, moving away from the strict Ildjarn-worship and embracing longer, more trance-like compositions. Because the music is written and recorded solo, Invunche performs live with various session musicians. Past performances include supporting Benelux bands like Alkerdeel, Turia and Laster. Several smaller releases came out during 2019-2021: Sacrificio EP, a split with Ifernach and the Elal promo (later reissued by Nuclear War Now! Productions as the Elal y Otros Mitos compilation). Recent live highlights include A Sinister Purpose V (with Ved Buens Ende, Skepticism, Brånd), a sold-out Lamp of Murmuur show in Amsterdam and headliner slots at Steel City Sorcery Fest (with Satan, Big Brave, Hagszissa) and Deep Sound City Fest (with Daevar, Hexer). The latest full-length Atavismo (released by Nuclear War Now! Productions) pushes the unique sound of Invunche further, adding epic synths, Bathory-like clean vocals and 70s psychedelic rock influences. Now, in 2025, Invunche is ready to bring its Ancestral Black Metal back to the stage.
