Improv Workshop with Monika Ozdarska: I KNOW

I KNOW – Be the expert (4H)  Have you ever found yourself stuck in a scene, feeling completely lost and thinking, 'I don't know what to say' about a topic like quantum physics, car construction, or some other subject unrelated to your field, and you didn't want to come across as uninformed, so you avoided it or, even worse, froze in self-criticism during the scene? This workshop is a training ground for becoming an expert in any field. Yes, in any! It's an opportunity to build self-confidence and develop the ability to portray self-assured characters. In this workshop, your level of knowledge won't matter as much as your skill in concealing what you don't know and portraying characters with confidence. This fun workshop will help you reach a new level of self-assurance and enjoyment, not only in your knowledge but also in your ability to embrace your lack of knowledge! With help of your partner you will have fun and your scenes will become more fluid playful. LEVEL: Everyone TIME: 4 hours, 11 am - 4 pm (including lunch break at 1 pm, workshop fee does not include lunch) ABOUT MONIKA OZDARSKA Monika Ozdarska, a Polish improviser with almost 15 years of experience, has absorbed knowledge from over a hundred teachers. She co-created an improv duet (WePolak) with the american improv icon Jeff Michalski and together they performed at the international festivals in Chicago, VIF (Ferry Beach USA, Maine), Uppsala, Toruń, Lisbon, Warsaw and performed independently in other countries including Germany, Greece, Holland, UK. With insights from over 2500 hours of global training, she's a wellspring of improv knowledge. Monika engages in a synthesis of theatrical improvisational styles derived from Viola Spolin, Keith Johnston, Sanford Meisner, and Anne Bogart, which are included in the curriculum of leading schools of improvisation. Monika taught in Holland, Germany, Greece, Poland, Sweden, USA. Her workshops are dynamic, unlocking improvisers' potential and enhancing their skills. She is a founder of The Art Of Yes Facebook page and podcast with the same name, and interviewed many improvisers from around the world.
