For most residents of Lund today, the cathedral is more a beautiful landmark on the skyline than a source of spiritual guidance. But it hasn’t always been this way. The Church played a crucial role in the founding of Lund and in shaping the city into one of the most important centres in the Nordic region during the Middle Ages.
Join us on a guided walk exploring how the Church influenced medieval Lund—and discover how the Reformation in Denmark ultimately led to the city’s decline.
The tour begins in Kattesund and ends at Klosterkyrkan. Duration: approximately 1 hour.
Saturday 30 May: 12.30. Available in Swedish at 10.30 and 14.00.
