English (dansk nedenfor): Get set for a night of excellent folk and roots music from three artists establishing themselves as forces to reckon with in the Danish music scene:_ Richard Farrell, On Days Off and Cheap Jeep.  Richard Farrell:Richard has been immersed in music since living memory, be it classical, folk, jazz, blues or soul music, it’s in his bones for sure. His melodies and lyrics are inspired from the Irish greats such as Van Morrison and Paul Brady alongside his heroes such Stephen Stills and Nina Simone. He landed in Denmark in 2015 and began with playing on the streets of Copenhagen, his musical career steeply took off in 2018 after winning a Danish Music Award for Best Blues Album with his blues/soul project Trainman Blues. This was followed by another 2 DMA’s in 2021 with the same band. In 2023 he released his 2nd album under his own name, 'Bathing In Cold Water' which is more recently followed by a serious of live acoustic releases/videos under the name, 'The Sunday Sessions’ in 2024. Richard is also studio songwriter and vocalist, collaborating with different producers and artists from around the world. He also plays with Sonic Saliva, Trainman Blues and Buds Listen to Bathing In Cold Water LP: https://album.link/dk/i/1658248418 Solo Videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_2fBpl41JU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HULiEcsOrJk Quotes from the Media: Hot Press Magazine (Ireland) “...groove, charisma and authenticity" "...chillingly aching vocals and gorgeous songwriting skills" Soul Bag Magazine (France) "An atypical singer with an unstoppable technique…fiery, in complete freedom..” Bluesnews (Denmark) "Richard Farrell's voice is always an experience. His vibrato-soaked voice floats and dives, explores the corners and nooks of the melodies and draws on both blues evangelists, Celtic folk and ballads and Al Green's soulful sensibilities” On Days Off:On Days Off is a new folk & roots act consisting of Spencer Gross (Twang) and Soluna Samay. With their own songs and a carefully selected handful of interpretations of some American folk classics, On Days Off blends elements from various folky genres, including old-time music, country, western swing, and bluegrass. Spencer Gross (DK/US) and Soluna Samay (DK/DE), both children of traveling street musicians, found their musical footing on the streets of Europe, where their love for American folk & roots music was born. Their two voices harmonize beautifully and their music is characterized by a playful approach to both instrumental and song-driven passages. On Days Off writes music that reflects on the living of everyday life, with songs about dogs, shopping malls, relationships and the challenges of modern day technology and political currents - always served with a little gleam in the eye. Cheap Jeep:Cheap Jeep are kindred musical wolves from way over yonder who carve landscapes grooved with a symbiosis of steep tradition and lawless exploration. Riding first left, then right into a brilliant sunset bejewelled with classic country, jam band and neon bluegrass colours, they show no mercy throughout performances crystallised with songs both tender and rambunctious. The Copenhagen-based outfit comprise of Tom Dockray from Australia on guitar, Rick Hauchman from North Carolina on mandolin and Mads Bendsen on upright bass. Each contribute to the vocals, song catalogue and production. Cheap Jeep’s new EP ‘Cheap Jeep 2’ is the quick-fire follow-up to their sparkling debut ‘Cheap Jeep’ from December ’24. Made lovingly with the same formula of five great songs recorded live, the trio continue to blossom. The EP quickly reasserts the band’s breadth with blissful old-time opener ‘Take Your Time’ into the forlorn tragedy of ‘Time To Be Alive’. All cylinders fire on the blistering 3rd track ‘Anything Anytime’, followed by the Edward Sharpe-isms of ‘Dream Is Real’ and leaves us still in top gear with the Grateful-Dead-on-speed nonchalance of ‘The Man’.As with its predecessor, The EP was produced from live takes in the band’s bunker in Copenhagen using a simple set up and minimal processing - what you hear is what Cheap Jeep sound like in a room, warts and all. Cheap Jeep are proud of their self-sufficiency and progression as producers and look forward to releasing much more music in the near future. We hope to see everyone at a show sometime soon, 2025 is shaping to be the year of the Jeep!
