The fifth Repower Charity DinnerNordiska Museet, StockholmStrong Together – United, We Keep Fighting On Saturday April 25, in the heart of spring, we gather after one of the hardest winters in modern Ukrainian history. Winter has always symbolized endurance, but spring (ukr: vesna) represents something deeper: renewal, rebirth, and the quiet but unstoppable return of life. After darkness, the light comes back, after the cold, warmth returns. Spring reminds us that no matter how long the winter, a new beginning is always possible.Over the past four charity dinners in Stockholm, we have built a circle of people who understand that recovery is not weakness, that rest can be strategic, that strengthening the mental resilience of frontline doctors and medics is part of defense itself. When a medic stands firm under pressure, when a doctor makes a clear decision after months of strain, lives are saved, units hold their position, families receive someone back alive. Sweden continues to increase its military and humanitarian support to Ukraine. This dinner contributes to that trajectory: it reinforces the message that Swedish civil society stands aligned with Sweden’s national commitment and that our support is growing stronger! This year, we meet at Nordiska Museet, a place that preserves the cultural memory, resilience, and identity of the Nordic region. It is the perfect setting for our gala dinner. Surrounded by history, tradition, and craftsmanship, we are reminded that culture survives wars, generations, and upheaval. That identity cannot be erased and what we build together can stand for centuries. Under its high arches, 250 guests come together to mark an alignment between Ukraine and the Nordics. A Cultural Encounter We are proud to be joined by representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine. Ms. Alina Chubko, Second Secretary for Public Diplomacy. She will deliver remarks, bringing an important diplomatic perspective to the evening. We are deeply honored to welcome Joakim Paasikivi, military analyst and former officer of the Swedish Armed Forces, who will offer a sharp and compelling reflection on the defining moment in history we are living through and what it demands of us all. About the Chef and the Evening Oleksii Shpionov is a Ukrainian chef whose career once centered on large events and celebrations. When the full-scale invasion began, he transformed his SET catering team into a volunteer kitchen, preparing food for people in devastated cities such as Irpin and Bucha — at times cooking up to 10,000 meals a day. Today, he continues this work through a “food train,” a mobile kitchen that brings hot meals to frontline areas affected by shelling and power outages. For this evening, Oleksii joins forces with Nordiska Museet to create a menu inspired by the bold and generous spirit of Ukrainian cuisine. Ukrainian hospitality has always combined warmth with refinement — where care is felt in every detail. The menu reflects this tradition: rich in flavor, thoughtful, and welcoming. Together with exceptional wines, meaningful conversations, and inspiring performances, the evening will offer a space to connect, reflect, and remember that even in the most difficult times, hope and strength grow when people stand together.  🎟 Tickets & Donations: Available with a donation starting from 2,500 SEK per person, up to 3,000 SEK depending on seating location. (Ticket fee: 2.5%)Price includes:- Four-course dinner paired with selected wines- A special lottery with unique prizesMany of our guests often wish to contribute beyond the ticket price. For this reason, we have created a separate option where you can “purchase” a symbolic seat for 1,000 SEK and select as many as you wish. If you are unable to attend but would still like to support the initiative, this is also a meaningful way to contribute. Please select the green button labeled “To Donate” to make your contribution. All profits raised will directly support the upcoming recovery project for 100 frontline medics and doctors in Sweden. As part of our evening, we are proud to stand alongside trusted partner who make our work possible: Nordic Ukraine Forum – a nonprofit founded by Ukrainians in Sweden, strengthening ties between the two countries through advocacy, public education, and civic initiativesSET Catering & Oleksii Shpionov – a Ukrainian chef who, together with his team, turned their catering operation into a volunteer kitchen after the full-scale invasion, preparing thousands of meals for people in war-affected areas.Café UA – a modern Ukrainian restaurant blending traditional recipes with contemporary techniques and carefully selected ingredients, creating deep, honest, and balanced flavors while preserving the soul of Ukrainian cuisine.
