PERFORMANCE · There has to be dark in order for light to appear · Angeliki Nikolopoulou & Maria Belén Loiza · CPF Experience the light, sense the darkness, feel the movement. A dance performance that explores the coexistence of light and darkness through both movement and photography, illustrating how one cannot exist without the other. Inspired by the changing seasons in Copenhagen, the performance reflects the emotional balance between introspection and external energy. The dance movement together with the light, recorded with long exposure photography, will uncover an alternate reality that is hidden to the eye. The performance is created and presented by Copenhagen-based dance artists, Angeliki Nikolopoulou & Maria Belén Loiza, who collaborate on projects that merge movement, photography, and interdisciplinary performance. About VÆKST VÆKST functions as Copenhagen Photography Festival new venue (and former festival center) focusing specifically on young talent, experimentation, and interdisciplinary exchange.
