Hess og Dobson har bevæget sig længe i de samme jazz og roots cirkler på New Yorks downtown scene og spiller her for første gang en fælles koncert. Sammen skaber Hess og Dobson et intimt, atmosfærisk og grænsesøgende univers, hvor dybfølt jazz, amerikansk sangskrivning, nordisk melankoli og improvisatorisk leg smelter sammen i et musikalsk møde præget af nærvær og poesi. Nikolaj Hess er en af Danmarks mest profilerede pianister, kendt for sit lyriske, virtuose og improvisatoriske spil. Han har spillet med internationale navne som Lee Konitz, Fela Kuti, Marc Mommaas og Caroline Henderson, og har for nylig optrådt solo på MoMA, The Metropolitan Museum og Getty Museum i USA. Sasha Dobson bringer en rå og samtidig raffineret vokal til samarbejdet – med dybe rødder i både jazz, folk og rock.
