The Hour at the Bottom

A playful show about something as serious as the human condition and how to make sense of it all. - Never questioned the space between your finger and the moon? - Who, me? No. The fact that our life is finite, that it is measured in years, days, minutes and seconds is a hard burden to carry. In the universe we enter two persons are thrown into a condensed version of life, without rules or any obvious meaning. They have a timeline, in 70 minutes their time is up and they will exist no more. To cope with that fact they are inventing tasks to understand what it is to live a meaningful life, to be satisfied with the time you have and the actions you take. How do you reach a place where you can say: this is it, and it is enough? The Hour at the Bottom is co-written by Sonia Antinori (Italy) and Matilda Klamas (Sweden). It is an artistic collaboration exploring the inevitable progression of time, the struggle to make an impact and the courage to stare into the void without batting an eye. On stage, the text is brought to life by the actors Matilda Bördin (Sweden) and Andrea Callegarin (Italy), calling the philosophical questions about the human condition into the here and now.
