Paul Banks has been a household name on the Danish Roots scene for more than four decades. His virtuosic and easily recognisable guitar style has inspired several generations of Danish guitarists, and his distinctive vocals and poetic songwriting have earned him many awards in fields ranging from Folk, Jazz and Blues to children’s music. Paul Banks is a one-man band. From a focus point of folk, blues and ragtime, he incorporates elements of jazz and gospel in his own unmistakable sound combining a unique guitar style and melodic tunes. His lyrics are sometimes personal, sometimes funny, sometimes topical, but always with an engaging story.
