Lesbisk Drag Matiné

Welcome to an afternoon full of drag! Performances and panel discussions on the different expressions of the drag scene. COCKY, Malmö’s cockiest drag king collective, is also visiting! They’ve been producing well-loved drag events in Malmö since 2022, ranging from brunches to large-scale shows in the arena at Malmö Festival. COCKY’s goal is to showcase the wide range of talent within the drag king world and to give them a stage to perform on. This Sunday, they’re bringing a performance in true COCKY style! Karmosin Drag was created with the vision of building a group focused on community and moving forward together. They want to remove the big barrier to starting drag that stops many from even trying. They question what drag is, who can do it, and how it can be done—both with and without an audience. They’re a group with different expressions and experiences, creating something greater together! Now they're getting close to their premiere show and are giving a sneak peek in the form of a catwalk! Feel free to come dressed in drag! There will be snacks and bubbly drinks.Donation-based entry, where the funds go to the drag artists and Alié House.Pay what you can, recommended 100-150 SEK. Chose the donation you can give!  Accessibility and LanguageWe will be in a basement venue that is accessible with an elevator and ramp.The conversation will be in Swedish. You are welcome to come alone, even if you don’t know anyone beforehand. We would also love to get help from some volunteers who are willing to assist with the event and preparations. But AILÈ has a designated kids area on the first floor if the kids needs a brake.  The event is a collaboration between Karmosin Drag, Lesbisk Makt, Alié House, Cocky Kings, and ABF. Who is it for?Lesbians and other queers who want to be in a space where lesbianism is the norm. Lesbianism might be your identity, or you may identify as something else but enjoy doing lesbian things from time to time, or you may want to engage in lesbian activities in the future.All our events are alcohol-free.
